Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Salvara Deep Read (the “self-read”) does with information when you use it. The short version: the lookup runs in your browser, and we do not collect what you type.

What you type stays in your browser

When you search, your browser downloads a copy of the public register index and matches the business name and city you type on your own device. The name and city are not sent to Salvara, and we do not store your searches.

What we do not do

• No accounts, sign-ups, or forms that submit information about you.
• No cookies on the self-read, and nothing saved to your browser’s storage.
• No analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts.
• We do not sell or share information about visitors.

Checkout (not open yet)

When paid reads open, the Buy buttons will take you to Stripe's hosted checkout page. Stripe, not this site, collects your payment details, your email, the business the read is for, and your confirmation that you represent it, and shares with Salvara what is needed to prepare and deliver your read. Nothing is collected on this site itself.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, its servers receive the standard technical details of each request (such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time) in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Salvara does not use these details to identify or profile visitors.

Private reports

Separately from the self-read, Salvara delivers some private reports through a passphrase-protected page. Only an invited recipient who enters that passphrase receives a single short-lived, strictly necessary session cookie, used solely to keep that report unlocked.

Information about businesses

The records the self-read shows come from Oregon’s public contractor and business registers. The self-read names no owner, signer, or individual, and contact phone numbers are withheld. If you believe a register record is wrong, the issuing register is the place to correct it.

Changes

If this site starts collecting anything (for example, if claiming a record opens), we will update this notice before that happens. The date above shows when it last changed.
